I have known Will since he was about 3 months old, I made his very first birthday cake and feel honored to get to make his cakes each year. This little man LOVE, LOVE, LOVES anything trucks! Anything from trash trucks, to dump trucks and of course Fire Trucks!
Will also likes to be very involved in his choices for cake flavors and how they look. He was adamant that he have chocolate with peanut butter buttercream (which, oh my, is an amazing combo!!) and carrot cake with cream cheese icing! I love when the kids get involved in the process!
Will had a fire truck visit his party so I did my best to make one out of cake and then had two dozen fire cupcakes!
The fire truck was all chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, hand carved, with strawberry marshmallow fondant. The silver decorations were hand painted using luster dust. the fireman and dog were hand sculpted using gumpaste.
You can see the very happy birthday boy with his fire truck and fire cupcakes. The cupcakes had a yellow and orange buttercream swirl with a custom made white chocolate flame.
