Cupcakes! Cupcakes!

Over the holidays I didn't have much time to make cakes but I was able to fit in time to make some cupcakes for two very different parties.

The first was for a dear friend who was throwing a 30th birthday party for another friend, They were throwing her an 80's party, so fun!! The birthday girl's favorite colors were purple and pink so I used that as my inspiration.

I couldn't find any cute purple and pink wrappers so I made custom wrappers, who knew they would be so easy!

The second set of cupcakes was for a NFL themed birthday party for a ten year old (a kid after my own heart, football and cake, doesn't get any better than that)!

He likes all the teams and just wanted football cupcakes. 

These were made using buttercream icing with a grass tip and fondant accents

These have gumpaste footballs and goal posts.

These cupcakes were fun to make and taught me a lot about how to form and color gumpaste.
