Diamonds and Bows

The third cake of the week went to the same person I made the Clarinet cake for. 

This time he wanted another birthday cake with as much buttercream as possible. I am not really comfortable with smoothing buttercream so I was a little apprehensive. 

The client wanted a green and brown color scheme with a diamond pattern.


I used marshmallow fondant for the diamond and bows. At each of the corners I used bark chocolate and silver edible beads


I just got in some new edible pens, I LOVE them. they allow me to write messages without having to use icing in a piping bag or cutting out letters from gumpaste.
